The method of using a shaving razor needs to be adjusted according to its type:
Hand razors should be held perpendicular to the skin at a 90° angle, shaving in a straight line against the direction of hair growth. Woodworking/fitting razors require selecting flat pressure, side shaving, or spiral motion depending on the shape of the workpiece, maintaining an angle of 25°~30° and alternating between these motions.
The correct way to use a shaving razor includes selecting the appropriate razor type (flat razor, triangular razor, or crescent-shaped razor), adjusting the angle to maintain 25°~30° during installation, and maintaining stable pressure while alternating directions. Our shop's machine tool guide rail shavings are made of steel and support customized lengths and specifications, suitable for precision machining scenarios such as scraping machine beds. Professional guidance can be provided for specific usage.
The appropriate type of scraper should be selected based on the surface type of the workpiece: flat scraper (suitable for flat surfaces such as plates and rails), triangular scraper (specifically for scraping bearing bushes), and crescent-shaped scraper (suitable for inner curved surfaces such as bearing inner holes). During installation, first tighten the center screw, then evenly pull the scraper from both sides to ensure uniform force. A leak test is required after installation.
